About Brittons Daycare

Our Team

With a wealth of experience and qualifications in professional childcare, our staff are chosen for both their passion for working with children and for their individual skills which are encouraged and developed within the team. We understand the impact that our staff have upon the learning experience of your child. We take pride in the fact that our staff have been with us for a long time. Constantly first aid trained and have experience in working with outside agencies. The setting is managed by Julie Yetton, who has 23 years experience herself and who personally monitors and coaches her team towards excellence.

Each child is given a Key Person who is responsible for a small number of children each. This ensures that each child gets the individual attention that they deserve, especially when first settling into the environment. The key person is in a position to tailor the groups curriculum to the unique needs of the child. The system ensures that all children are supported in reaching their full potential and works with parents through shared record keeping.

Our Facilities

We are situated within the grounds of Brittons Academy with our own separate entrance; just a short walk from both Whybridge and Scargill Primary Schools with which we share an ongoing relationship.

As one large room children are able to free flow play through various areas. A dedicated outdoor play area provides the perfect space to encourage healthy physical development. The chance to plant seeds and study nature in our new garden area. We also have a mud kitchen which provides co-operative play and problem solving opportunities which leads to care for our planet. Children will be treated with respect and encouraged to learn at their own pace and ability.

Learning through play provides a great start in life for your child so we actively support the development of physical skills, self expression and co-ordination with high quality toys and equipment that have proven play and leaning outcomes.
